☀️ The Scoop on Hudson Weather
March in Hudson is like a box of chocolates — you never know what you're gonna get. Here's what Mother Nature has in store for us:
- 🌥️ Friday, March 7: A little sun before the clouds take over. Expect a mix of snow and rain in the afternoon, but nothing too dramatic. High: 40°F, Low: 28°F
- ☁️ Saturday, March 8: Chilly and overcast. Basically the weather equivalent of “meh.” High: 36°F, Low: 25°F
- 🌤️ Sunday, March 9: Finally, a partly sunny day! Not exactly spring, but we’ll take the win. High: 40°F, Low: 29°F
- ☀️ Monday, March 10: Milder and sunny. High of 49°F. The start of Spring or just a tease? High: 49°F, Low: 36°F
So yeah, you’ll still need the whole “just in case” wardrobe, but it finally feels like spring is starting to RSVP.
🍻 Locals We Love
Green Valley Brewing Co.
If you haven’t checked out Green Valley Brewing Co. yet, consider this your sign. This family-owned spot is serving up small-batch craft beer, wood-fired pizzas, and seriously good vibes right here in Hudson.
The patio is massive. The beer list is always rotating. And yes — it’s totally kid-friendly (and dog-friendly, too).
Whether you’re stopping by for a quick drink or settling in for the afternoon, GVBC is one of those places that just feels like home.

📰 Fresh Off the Clocktower
⏰ Spring Forward, Hudson!
It’s that time again! This Sunday, March 10, we officially spring forward for Daylight Saving Time. That means setting your clocks ahead by one hour (yes, we’re losing some sleep, but at least it’s staying lighter later).
And while you're at it, here’s your friendly neighborhood reminder to check the batteries in your smoke detectors and carbon monoxide alarms. It’s the perfect little task to tackle while you’re wandering around changing clocks. Future you will thank you!
So, set those alarms, update the microwave clock, and maybe go ahead and plan for an extra cup of coffee on Monday.
🧹 Say Hello to the Hudson Hurricane!
Big news on the streets of Hudson — literally! The city’s brand-new street sweeper officially has a name, thanks to the creative minds of Hudson’s 6th Grade Honor Community.
Introducing the Hudson Hurricane! 🌪️
This powerful addition will help keep our bike lanes and streets looking sharp, sweeping up debris and making sure our roadways stay safe and clean. Plus, we love that Hudson is now handling this in-house instead of outsourcing the work.
Huge congrats to our local students for the winning name — and for giving Hudson's newest ride a whole lot of personality.
So next time you see the Hudson Hurricane out and about, give it a little wave. It's working hard for all of us!
🏓 Barlow Farm Park’s Pickleball Courts Are About to Get Lit!
Big thanks to Jack Duffy and Associates for their generous donation of lighting equipment to help light up six pickleball courts at Barlow Farm Park. They’re donating light poles and hardware, so you’ll be able to play pickleball under the stars. How cool is that?
Not to be outdone—Hudson Community Foundation has raised $90,000 from local residents to help fund the lighting of those courts. This money will help kick off the project in 2025, so soon enough, pickleball lovers will have the perfect place to play day or night!
It’s so exciting to see the community come together like this, and we can’t wait to see these changes make our parks even more fun for everyone. Stay tuned for more updates as these projects come to life!
❌ Moratorium on Marijuana-Related Activities to be Revisited
At the latest city council meeting, a proposed resolution to extend a moratorium on marijuana-related activities in Hudson failed to pass. This means the issue will be brought back for a second reading at the next city council meeting.
What’s in the Resolution?
The resolution aimed to declare a 3-month moratorium on accepting, reviewing, and approving all new applications for marijuana-related activities in Hudson. If passed, this would have put a temporary pause on any new marijuana-related projects in the city.
What’s Next?
Since the resolution didn’t pass this time, it will be up for discussion again at the next council meeting, where city leaders will revisit the issue. Stay tuned for updates as this important topic continues to be discussed in our community!
