📰 Fresh Off the Clocktower
🚩 Cleveland’s New Flag: A Fresh Look for the Sixth City
Cleveland just got a glow-up—flag edition! After a year of community input and over 500 designs, the “People’s Flag of Cleveland” has officially been unveiled. The winning design, created by local artist Shan Rodich, features a six-sided star (a nod to Cleveland’s “Sixth City” nickname) and Lake Erie-inspired blue, tying the city’s past and future together.

With all the buzz about Cleveland’s new flag, we couldn’t help but think—hey, Hudson got a flag refresh too! As part of our 225th anniversary celebrations, Hudson unveiled a brand-new city flag in 2024, and let’s just say—it’s got some serious hometown pride.
🕰 What’s on It?
In case you missed it, the design features Hudson’s beloved Clock Tower, with the clock hands set at 2:25 to honor 225 years of Hudson history. The blue and white colors keep things classic, tying back to the city’s official palette.

🙌 How It Came to Be
This wasn’t just a backroom decision—Hudson residents had a say, and even students from Kent State University’s School of Visual Communication Design helped bring it to life. (Turns out, designing a flag is way more complicated than just slapping on some clip art.)
🚩 Want One?
If you’re feeling the hometown spirit, you can grab your own Hudson City Flag through Splott Graphics. They offer both single-sided and double-sided 3’ x 5’ flags so you can fly it loud and proud.
So while Cleveland is just now catching up with a flag glow-up, we’ll be over here already repping Hudson’s fresh new look.
